After watching the Seattle/San Fran game it appears to be a wide open field this year.
In the NFC:
I thought New Orleans had been impressive especially after losing Brees. They seemed to have a good mix of offense and defense. Then an absolute stinker against Atlanta at home.
First time seeing San Fran. I wasn't impressed. Their defense is supposed to be good and Seattle seemed to move it pretty easily. The QB could have had 6 int's instead of just one. Not impressed with his play. Take out three fluke/lucky plays: forced fumble at 2 before half and Wilson fumble the lineman got and fumbled, plus Wilson's second int on year (good defense play or TD). Without those it was a Seattle blow out.
Seattle is dangerous. Especially because of Wilson. Biggest road block for them is the coach. Will make some sort of bonehead move.
Green Bay has Rodgers. They are also one of the luckiest teams in NFL. Record could/should be much worse. One only PI calls that was changed all year happened after Vikes scored a TD. Vikes should have beat them. Detroit game was horribly officiated.
Carolina gave them a dog fight and did you see the penalty on Carolina in the end zone. They must have pictures of NFL refs.
Vikes have good mix of offense and defense. Lately injuries are mounting. Bye week might help that. When they run when they should pass and pass when they should run the offense can look great. On defense need a few more 3 and outs.
Rams Dallas, Phil all seem to have issues.
Seems like all of the teams have some flaws.
On the AFC
New England. Biggest thing going for them is the weak schedule probably gets them a bye and probably a home game. Only good team they played they got their ass handed to them. I think they have some holes that the weak schedule is able to cover up. No rushing game and defense is not that good against the run.
Baltimore seems scary yet they have two loses. QB seems to be gaining confidence. They seem to have done a nice job designing the offense around his talents. Not sure how he would do in a close game where he has to throw to win the game. Defense seems respectable.
Kansas City can look unbeatable one half and fall apart the next half. See how they do coming down the stretch now that QB is back. Defense still marginal.
Houston has a good offense but the lose of Watts on defense is going to hurt. QB is exciting and can lead the team from behind. Pass defense is suspect.
A bunch of other teams that would have to get hot or show something to end the season: Chargers (most likely of this bunch. They did it last year and have talent and are now getting healthy), Raiders, Buffalo, Indy, Tenn and Pittsburgh
